Paul and Martha

If you run into Paul and Martha after Christmas mass, the two perched on the rock near your parking lot, playing with a " creepy" looking stick that is unlikely to be inclusive in the urban sensibility, you may be startled by their uncanny behavior but fear not, they are harmless, set out for some adventure . And yes, they aren't drugged if their maddes my lead you to conclude( except the ting that may flavor their breadth as earlier in the day, Paul did urge Martha to join him for a glass of beer which they both advanced to a pitcher finally:P)
When a host of exceptionally attractive ladies seasoned in their Christmas dress approach, Paul's eye ball follows close behind them, and Martha seems slightly intimidated. But it is evident that more than the pepper of envy, it is the assertion that she would demand the attention of her dearest makes her possessiveness obvious.
Martha looks exasperatedly weary in the over sized cardigan quite contrary to her prim and proper composure in her manner of dressing seen so meticulous. However, she seems perfectly attuned and very jubilant too.Must be because the cardigan was originally the belonging of Paul who noticing Martha's nimbleness in the chill of December wind had handed over to her.
Christ mas Night when the rest of the world drooled into anticipation of newer hopes and brighter reconciliation of what has been weaved in the past, these two step out form their abode in the quietude of midnight bearing an unconscious lie of attend church just to be able to spend time together.
Quite oblivious of the souls around who would love to pick up the feather from the hat and blow it all around the neighborhood, these two were navigating, serenading, escapading. Halting every now and then to gaze at the moon that seem to gaze back mischievously at them.Paul likes to personify the moon as Martha and she always feels uncertain whether to accept it as a compliment or pass it as a mock at her perfectly rounded face which she wishes were more shapely. Sometimes, the world becomes immaterial as they fashion their steps further into directions unplanned, uncared and so lost into their gab, they suddenly bump into friends who see their hands clasped into each other and they end up becoming taunted by all and sundry for the rest of time.
They only laugh over it. It doest seem to bother them much because they both are propelled by living in the moment and savoring what they love doing irrespective comments.
Nothing seems amiss except the fact that the duo started the day at 11 in the morn, wondering along with the fateful camera capturing through fun and frolic what seemed absurd to all who beheld this couple relentlessly strolling around the stalls. Martha seem engrossed in the assignment at times also forgetting her mate but Paul seemed not to mind it as he was equally into the trade, lost in the same interest as Martha's.

Paul is a god in stage acts and mimicry. Martha feels enthralled whenever he performs in front of her and her agile eye don't stop dancing in sheer delight the moment Paul picks up those funny lines from the movies and Martha doesn't stop rolling in laughter. He repeats some for her as they find another resting place which is actually the front portico of a building undergoing construction. They both know the coziest of sofa or the most dandiest of chairs( like the fancy leather sofa that Martha had fallen for in the Super Market they idyll visited in the afternoon) would never be as fun as sitting there along the busy roadside and laughing their heads off at some silly encounter at their college or once again the hilarious mono acts by Paul performed especially for her.
Paul seem to understand when Martha would need these most desperately. He tries to cheer her up using this extraordinary skill of making people laugh after the little heartbreak that Martha has and tears roll down her "moony" cheeks. Paul attempts to enliven her spirits, to make her forget that the guy wasn't worth her tears and plugs in some music which sings-"Don't worry, be happy." If it would have been a dream Martha would have want to pinch herself to consciousness because the pain chills her through and through but when she realizes this sweet guy sitting next to her trying to brighten her with all his treasure of laughter and showing her a more enthusiastic way living of living, she wishes 'this' dream to carry on.
The day seem most hilarious, full of adventure unanticipated. As the Christmas bell tolls in the distance, Paul and Martha hug their goodbyes for the day swelling with exhilaration of having the luck to spend the whole day with the person they would love to be with but also grim that such a memorable time was concluding. Each walk their ways...satisfied as Paul and Martha and ready for some other day as some other people.
